Clips from McKinney Courier-Gazette: A tractor-trailer rig was traveling northbound about 4:30 p.m., Sept. 20 when it veered into oncoming traffic, striking a 1990 Ford pickup truck head-on and then the Martin's 2000 Ford SUV, police said. Witnesses told police that the 18-wheeler did not brake as it crossed the median. Lisa Wood Martin, 32, along with her sons Chance, 4, Brock, 2, and Reid, 2 months, were killed in the accident. Martin's mother, Betsy Wood, 70, also died. The family was returning home to McKinney from a shopping trip in Sherman.
