55th Reunion (2005) for Ada High School class of '50

It is time to get out letter to all Classmates with information about our 55th Reunion. Committee agreed on details to be included in letter, and process for mailing the letter. Letter to be mailed by June 15, and RSVP requested by August 15.

Addresses: We are still missing addresses for Christine Brandon Fitz, Robert McCollum, Bebecca Menasco Cantrell, Oral Gene Pittman, Mildred Robinson Hawkins, Dorothy Shideler Griffith, Jim Whittle and Bill Winfield. Clyde Kidd and Bill McKeel have not been able to locate and requested help.

Nametags: Clyde Kidd will make nametags for all classmates, spouses and guests of our class. Blank tags with space for name will be provided to members of other classes on Friday night.

Trinkets: Committee, Clyde Rigsby, Henry Katz, Bill McKeel, June Crawford Whaley, and Bob Stroud to determine handouts such as key chains, pens, etc.

Memorial Fund: A suggestion that a donation of $50 be made to the Scholarship Fund in memory of our deceased classmates instead of sending flowers was approved. Suitable card to be sent to family of deceased, Henry Katz will provide.

Newsletter: Kyle Perrin would like to publish a "Class Newsletter" with help from Ralph Howell. That request was approved by the attendees.

Maxine gave report on Class bank balance.

Bill McKeel read e-mail from Dick Huddleston, Mary Bryant Park, Wilma Walker Fosgate, Mary McKeown Davis, and Melcena Wallace Osborn with comments concerning next reunion.

Next Reunion: this year, unanamous. Date: October, not first Saturday for sure, probably 15 th.

Format: Same as in 2000, Friday night socializing, Saturday night banquet.

Guests on Friday: Class of '49 and Class of '51.

Location: committee will investigate places in Ada that appear to be suitable to the majority, Another meeting in month or so to determine place, menu, prizes (hats, pens, etc.) and cost. Clyde will advise date.

Address Book: Clyde Kidd and Bill McKeel will revise the data base (Excel) for the Address Book, Clyde Rigsby will publish the book. Bill will take the top half of class and Clyde K. will take the bottom half. Carlene Rigsby will e-mail the 2000 version of the list to Clyde K. and Bill.

Name Tags: Clyde Kidd will make name tags for the reunion. Format will include picture from Annual.

Web Site: Bill McKeel and Dick Huddleston will maintain and update site.

Scholarship Fund: Bill McKeel to determine if Kyle Perrin will accept reporting for class.
