The Ada High Class of '50 Golden Reunion will be held on October 13 and 14, 2000.  Registration fees are $30 per person or $50 per couple for both nights.  Payment needs to be in by September 15th.  Dress is informal.  Events will be held at the new Elks Lodge, 3850 Arlington, 580-332-9706.  There will be no smoking and no alcoholic beverages in the Lodge.

The "Class Quilt" will be on display both nights.  This beautiful, sentimental quilt was designed and sewn by Clyde Rigsby in 1988 following bypass surgery.  Classmate’s names are embroidered in white on  maroon  blocks with deceased names in light maroon.  The year of death is added for classmates who have died since 1990. The quilt was raffled at our fortieth reunion and raised over $2000.  Lucky Jimmy See won the quilt!  He generously returned the quilt to the class in exchange for a donation to the scholarship fund.

I'm looking forward to hosting our Welcome Reception on Friday night.  David, Nancy and I will be there         to greet you.  We will meet in the Lodge Room from 6:00 until 10:00.  We'll enjoy finger foods, soft drinks         and lots of visiting.  We have invited the Classes of '49, '51, and '52.  I hope everyone will sign our                       registration book. We have nametags for our Class of '50 classmates.  I will have a directory with                         addresses and phone numbers for you, (no pictures this time).  Each of you will receive an "Ada High               Class of '50, 50th Reunion" baseball cap and key ring.  I hope to see all of you there!

On Saturday night I will host a buffet in the North Lounge from 6:00 until 10:00. A class picture will be taken, copies are $15.00.  I plan to open with a prayer and then honor our deceased classmates.  After dinner I plan to share some interesting anecdotes about our classmates. Clyde Rigsby will recognize the people who contributed to this reunion.  I have invited Bob Stroud to give us a report on the Scholarship Fund.  Bill McKeel will report on our website.  We have no formal business this year.  If you have any issues that we need to address, please let me know.  You will receive an imprinted pen with reunion data.  I am really looking forward to our big 50th and seeing each of you!
